Coolant flows across the exposed surfaces of the miniature heat-pipe array and the vapor chamber’s external condensing surface.

The integrated 3D structure increases the available coolant-side heat-transfer area by several times, and potentially by tens of times depending on the configuration, compared with a conventional flat liquid cold plate or planar vapor chamber.

The expanded surface area enables more heat to be rejected in parallel, supporting rapid heat removal under high heat loads.
